BONSAI

Peter Macasieb, a multi-disciplined bonsai artist, was born in the Philippines and immigrated to USA in 1983. I was self taught for many years by reading John Naka's book. In 2004, I began my serious study of bonsai under the guidance of Harry Hirao, Tak Shimazu and Boon Manakitivipart. I have learn so much from them in pursuing my dream in the art of bonsai.

My shohin passion comes from my energy in bringing more of me into what i do best . It is simple approach that is at heart of your process is to go beyond what you love doing the most. Having a good eye, dedication, hard work and always pushing the limits, will eventually pay off.

Subsequently, I created a study group in 2013 specializing ShohinBonsai and began teaching bonsai class three times a month.Won best of show in Santa Anita and John Naka award with my Shohin display at Descanso Bonsai Society.

At this point of my bonsai career, I teach, conduct demos at various club, shohin study group, convention workshop and continue to study more as i progress.
